Executive Team
The executive team is the main governing body at Feralpi. It operates under the leadership of the Managing Director and is responsible for the Group's general business affairs and operations.
Giuseppe Pasini
Chairman Feralpi Group
Born in 1961, after qualifying as an industry consultant he started working alongside his Father, Carlo Pasini, in the family business, Feralpi SpA.
Following the unexpected death of his Father in 1983, he was appointed CEO of Feralpi Siderurgica SpA and in January 2008 became the Chairman. Following a Group restructuring plan in 2004, Feralpi Holding SpA was established and he became its Chairman in 2007.
He joined the Brescia Industrial Association (AIB now Confindustria Brescia) as a member of the board, and was appointed Vice Chairman responsible for the Environment, Safety and Social Responsibility for the period 2017-2021.
He has held the role of Chairman of the Italian steel company federation, Federacciai, and Chairman of Confindustria Metalli (Federation of the Italian Association of Metallurgy Industries). He was on Confindustria's National Committee, coordinating the Energy Round Table, from 2016 to 2020.
In October 2022, he joined the General Council of Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio.
In the field of sport, he is the president of Feralpisalò, an Italian football club that plays in Serie B. He has been a member of the Board of the Lega Nazionale Professionisti B (Italian for National Professionals League B) since August 2023.
He has been awarded the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award twice, in addition to the Lombardy For Work award. He has also received the prestigious Federico Giolitti Steel Medal from the Italian Metallurgy Association, and the Sport and Legality award as Chairman of the professional Feralpisalò sports association.
He has also received the following awards: 'Ambassador of Brescianity' from the President of the Province of Brescia (2018); 'Paul Harris Fellow' from the Rotary Club Brescia Castello (2020); 'Rosa Camuna' Prize from the Lombardy Region (2023); 'Il Tralcio' diploma (2023) from the Association of Friends of Father Ottorino Marcolini and UCID (Unione Cristiana Imprenditori Dirigenti).
Cesare Pasini
Vice President Feralpi Holding SpA
Born in Brescia in 1970, he has joined the Feralpi since 1990, dealing with purchasing management with increasing responsibility.
He is currently Chairman of the parent Feralpi Holding S.p.A., in which he is directly responsible for the Group Purchasing Department. He is also Executive Director of Acciaierie di Calvisano SpA, board member of Feralpi Siderurgica SpA, Caleotto SpA, Feralpi Power On and Feralpi Farm. He is the CEO of Media Steel (a subsidiary of Feralpi Group) and a member of the Supervisory Board (Beirat) of ESF Elbe Stahlwerke Feralpi GmbH.
At an institutional level, since March 2024 he has been a member of the board of the Metallurgy, Steel and Mining sector of Confindustria Brescia. He has held the position of Chairman of Nuovo Campsider (a consortium of steel companies involved in collecting studies and information on the supply of raw materials for the steel industry) from 1997 to 2012. He is also Chairman of AIRA (the Industrial Association of Automobile Recycling).
He has always been actively involved in the world of sports, at a personal and institutional level; he is currently the Chairman cycling club Gruppo Ciclistico Feralpi and Honorary President of the cycling club Gruppo Ciclistico Feralpi Monteclarense.
Giovanni Pasini
Feralpi Group Managing Director
Born in Odolo (Brescia) in 1964, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology Engineering and a Master’s degree in Economics and Management from Milan Polytechnic. He started contributing to the family business first by working in the German subsidiary, and then joining the Board of Directors in the parent company.
He is currently an Executive Director of Feralpi Holding S.p.A, directly handling general coordination and the Group's energy management.
He is a member of the Board of Directors in Feralpi Siderurgica S.p.A., and Chairman of various subsidiaries and affiliate companies in the Group, including Acciaierie di Calvisano, Caleotto S.p.A, Nuova Defim S.p.A, Comeca S.p.A. (operating in structural steelwork and engineering) and Feralpi Farm. He is also Chairman of Agroittica Lombarda S.p.A., a fish-farming company and major European producer of caviar, and is on the Supervisory Board (Beirat) of ESF Elbe Stahlwerke Feralpi GmbH.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of AIE within Federacciai, the Italian Federation of Steel Industries. He is on the board of the Metallurgy, Mining and Steelmaking Division of the Confindustria Brescia organisation, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Metal Interconnector S.C.p.A. Furthermore, he was Chairman of Rotary Club Valle Sabbia Centenario.
Since July 2021 he has been Vice President of AlpiCapital S.p.A, a company specialized in the renewable energy sector.
He received from the Lombardy Region the Rosa Camuna Award and the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" Award for the Quality of Life category.
In 2022, he was inducted as a Alumni Notable of the Politecnico di Milano.
Uwe Reinecke
General Manager of Feralpi Stahl - CEO of ESF Elbe-Stahlwerke Feralpi GmbH
Born in 1965, and with ESF Elbe-Stahlwerke Feralpi GmbH in Riesa since January 2021, initially as CFO and, since June 2021, as CEO. After completing his secondary education with the university entrance qualification (Abitur), he trained in industrial commerce specialising in business management and controlling at Salzgitter Maschinenbau GmbH (SMAG) from 1984 to 1986, and subsequently worked there for five years in the commercial sector. He then spent several years as a management consultant at MWM Unternehmensberatung GmbH.
From 1994 to 1998, he was Commercial Director and Authorised Officer at Wildauer Kurbelwelle GmbH, after which he worked for the Georgsmarienhütte Group (GMH) as Managing Director of the companies Schmiedewerke Gröditz GmbH, Schmiedag GmbH and Kranbau Köthen GmbH.
Lorenzo Angelini
Group Technical Director
After graduating with a degree in Materials Engineering from Trento University, he worked in various areas at the Falk Group, including product research and development, product and process quality control, and was responsible for the steel mill in Bolzano. Subsequently joined the Feralpi Group and is now Manager of the Special Steels Business Unit, Coordinator for R&D Projects and Technological Development, and Strategic Investment Coordinator in the Feralpi Group.
He sits on the Board of Directors of Feralpi Siderurgica SpA and Acciaierie di Calvisano SpA, and is also the Managing Director of Caleotto Spa.
Speaker and co-author of several science & technology papers for international conferences, was Vice Chair of ASSIM (Italian Association of Materials Engineers) and Vice Chair of AIM (Italian Association of Metallurgy).
He lectures on steel plants and metallurgy in higher education courses, has also carried out R&D activities with shared responsibilities for a three-year research project at the RFCS (Research Fund for Coal and Steel) initiative named CO2 Reduction Reheating Furnaces, and is involved in other EU R&D projects.
Vincenzo Maragliano
Chief Financial Officer & Executive Team Coordinator - Feralpi Group
Born in 1966, after graduating in Business Economics from Venice's Ca’ Foscari University, he started working at Bofrost*, a leader in frozen foods, and was responsible for managing the commercial department and the warehouse, then management control. Positions with increasing responsibilities in major companies followed. At Elica (kitchen hood company) he led an IPO, which resulted in listing on the stock market, as a preliminary step to internationalisation.
He joined DeLclima (air conditioning) as CFO, Investor relations manager, CEO of various Group companies, and manager of the Mitsubishi Electric integration project. Became CFO of the Stevanato Group (Pharma & Healthcare).
He has been the Chief Financial Officer & Executive Team Coordinator in the Feralpi Group since 2020.
During his professional career he has lectured in Finance and Management Control on the Master's Degree in International Management course at various national and international establishments, including ISTAO in Ancona, the Asian European Institute of University of Malaya and Kuala Lumpur, CUOA and Venice's Ca’ Foscari University.
Alberto Messaggi
Alberto Messaggi
Director of the Diverse Products/Special Projects Business Unit in the Feralpi Group
Born in 1953, he graduated with a degree in Political Sciences and a Master's in Business Management from Bocconi University in Milan.
After graduating, he took his first professional steps in the financial sector, performing management roles in different areas, including abroad.
Companies included Ciba-Geigy Italia (chemical industry), Sanofi (pharmaceuticals) and Sanpellegrino (mineral water).
Following experience gained in the Legler Group (textiles), he joined Feralpi halfway through the 1990s.
Formerly financial and managing director of the Feralpi Group, he became director of some of the Group’s companies in Italy and Europe, and a member of the Executive Team.
Since 2020 he has been the Director of the Diverse Products Business Unit.
Maurizio Fusato
CEO Presider SpA and Head of Ecological and Energy Transition Unit Feralpi Group
Born in 1971, after obtaining a degree in Management Engineering from the University of Padua, he enriched his education with a European Master's in Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin (1996) and later with an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi (2009).
In his previous experiences, he collaborated with the National Agency for Environmental Protection (Rome), the consulting firm Sogesca, and the certification body ICIM.
In 2008, he joined Feralpi Siderurgica as the Head of the Environmental and Safety Office. In 2013, he became the Plant Director of the same company, a role he held until 2021. In that year, he became the CEO of Presider and in 2022, the President of Presider Armatures.
Since 2022, he also holds the position of Head of the Ecological and Energetic Transition Unit at Feralpi Group.
Edoardo Zanardelli
Business Unit Specialties Director
Born in 1979, he graduated in Economics and Commerce at the University of Brescia and began his professional career at EY, one of the world's "big-four" in auditing and consulting, becoming its Audit Manager. This was followed by the experience in Energetic Source, a major company in the trading and supply of electricity and gas to private individuals in the centre-north, as Administration and Control Manager.
In 2015, he joined the new joint-venture Caleotto in the role of Administration, Finance and Control Manager (CFO). Following the acquisition of 100% of the company by Feralpi Group and the greater integration with the parent company Acciaierie di Calvisano, he assumed roles of increasing responsibility until he became Director of Feralpi Group's Business Unit Specialties.
